Audacity - Make Your Own Listening Centers

Audacity is a free, easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux and other operating systems.  You can use Audacity to:

Record live audio.
Record computer playback on any Windows Vista or later machine.
Convert tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs.
Edit WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP2, MP3 or Ogg Vorbis sound files.
Cut, copy, splice or mix sounds together.
Change the speed or pitch of a recording.
And more!

In this session you will learn how to quickly and efficiently Use Audacity to create your own custom listening center content or any other classroom recording you want.   If you bring your book, your microphone and your laptop, You can make and take in this session.

You will need the Lame plug-in too: The LAME MP3 encoding library allows Audacity to export audio in the popular MP3 format. To install the LAME library, please read our LAME FAQ.
